Some Formability Aspects of High Strength Steel and of Consisting Tailor Welded Blanks

Abstract In recent years, the demand for a reduction in pollutant emission has become extremely important vehicle industry. It can be achieved through fuel consumption reduction, which is direct function of vehicle’s weight. nowadays weight widely controlled by use advanced- and ultra-high strength steels (AHSS UHSS) body construction. With application such steel sheets as chassis elements, crashworthiness maintained next to reduced sheet thicknesses, too. this paper, deep-drawability springback after V-die bending monitored three types AHSS grades, namely DP600, DP800 DP1000 materials. The investigations are extended tailor welded blanks (TWBs), made aforementioned coupled with cold rolled (DC04). Our results show that reduces both increase difference between components TWBs. Furthermore, higher shown cause spring-back. TWBs have unique spring-back behavior around weld line.
